CMRE scientists and engineers among 2,500 participants at CWIX

During June 2024, CMRE scientists and engineers join 42 participating Allies and Partners at the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise (CWIX) – NATO’s most significant event focused on interoperability.

Year after year, NATO’s top experts gather at CWIX to explore, experiment, examine, and exercise interoperability capabilities. This year’s edition of CWIX marks the 25th time that NATO’s top interoperability exercise has kicked off, with over 2,500 participants testing more than 490 capabilities.

Interoperability and readiness are crucial to the success of the Alliance, allowing national forces to deploy together, communicate effectively, and be effective from the start of an operation. CWIX has continuously driven interoperability forward for 25 years, adapting to meet the Alliance’s needs amidst shifts in the global security landscape and advancements in technology.

CWIX is a NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) led exercise, and CMRE is participating under the Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) support.
