This report describes the provision of decision support to anti-submarine warfare (ASW) planners and operators accounting for a range dependent environment. We present maps of environmental and performance data that may be used to visualise the changing acoustic conditions and direct impact on detection range. We further discuss a more dynamic approach to decision support including a Bayesian model to estimate the location of an undetected target. The two approaches are combined with the target prior location being determined from the varying searcher detection range.
